Hollow Object Models

 Making this hybrid was a little bit of a challenge on my part; my team members did a wonderful job of creating a cohesive and solid shape. My issue is that my design was too abstract and may not fit the 3D Printing standards.

We did come to the agreement wth keeping the base, and in the end it turned out pretty good.

My biggest issues with designing is that I tend to think too out of the box, while that is a strength, in the context of designing objects that are meant to serve a functional purpose. It can backfire

Laser Cut Coaster: Brainstorm & Concept Sketching]

I drew 12 concept sketches of which coaster I wanted to do, the main rule being it cannot be boring since I never do boring in my work, I always try to go for abstract and enticing, the only issue with that mentality is when it needs to be applied in real life.  I really liked the skateboard concept because the idea of having the coaster in the wheel was cute I liked the idea of a coaster playing music, and the best part is that it can be Bluetooth if you don't like the choice the coaster is giving The last idea is Ninja star because not only are they really fun to look at, they're very tiny, which is perfect for a 4x4-inch coaster. The blade wouldn't be sharp, of course The plan is to make it paperboard or wood
